Bambu Lab P1P

The Bambu Lab P1P is a high-speed FDM 3D printer that brought CoreXY motion architecture and multi-color printing capability into an accessible price bracket, quickly earning a reputation among hobbyists and prosumers as one of the best value machines in desktop additive manufacturing. Built around a rigid aluminum extrusion frame with a partially enclosed chassis, the P1P is designed for speed and reliability, capable of printing at accelerations and velocities far beyond typical budget printers thanks to its lightweight toolhead, dual-gear direct drive extruder, and active vibration compensation. The printer ships with a textured PEI-coated flexible build plate that allows finished parts to pop free with a simple flex once cooled, eliminating the need for scrapers or adhesion struggles common to older FDM designs.

At the heart of the P1P's performance is its all-metal hotend capable of reaching 300°C, which opens the door to printing engineering-grade filaments like PETG, ABS, ASA, and PA-CF blends in addition to standard PLA, giving users genuine versatility for functional prints rather than just decorative models. The machine integrates a small onboard LIDAR-style structured light sensor for first-layer inspection and can be paired with the optional AMS, Bambu Lab's Automatic Material System, which enables multi-material and multi-color printing by feeding up to four spools through a single nozzle with automatic filament switching.
