I've used this resin on my Elegoo Mars 3 and the results are consistently sharp. Great for miniatures and prototypes, and the price is hard to beat.
ELEGOO Standard Resin remains a solid entry-level choice for hobbyists and makers working with LCD/MSLA resin printers.
Bench unitELEGOO Standard Resin remains a solid entry-level choice for hobbyists and makers working with LCD/MSLA resin printers. It strikes a good balance between cost, print detail, and ease of use, though it demands the usual safety precautions common to standard resins. For miniatures, prototypes, and general 3D printing projects, it delivers reliable, consistent results at a budget-friendly price.
Measured on our bench
ELEGOO Standard Resin is a photopolymer liquid formulated specifically for LCD and DLP resin 3D printers, designed to cure quickly and reliably under UV light in the 355-405nm wavelength range. As one of the most accessible entry points into resin printing, it strikes a practical balance between affordability and performance, making it a popular choice among hobbyists, students, and small workshops who want consistent results without paying premium prices for specialty formulas. The resin comes in a range of colors including classic clear, grey, white, black, and several transparent tints, giving users flexibility depending on whether they want to showcase fine surface detail or achieve a specific aesthetic for finished models.
In practice, this resin is valued for its low odor compared to many other standard resins on the market, which makes extended printing sessions more tolerable in home or office environments where ventilation might be limited. It exhibits good fluidity and levels out well in the vat, reducing the likelihood of bubbles or uneven layers during the printing process. Shrinkage is minimal once cured, which helps maintain dimensional accuracy across both small figurines and larger functional prints. Layer adhesion is dependable when exposure settings are properly tuned, and the cured material offers a reasonably hard, slightly brittle finish that takes well to sanding, priming, and painting, making it a favorite for miniature painters and hobby model builders working with printers from Elegoo's own Mars and Saturn series, as well as compatible machines from other manufacturers.
Because it is a standard resin rather than an engineering or tough resin, it is best suited for detailed display models, prototypes, and artistic projects rather than parts requiring high impact resistance or flexibility. Users typically find that exposure times need slight calibration depending on their specific printer and screen type, but once dialed in, the resin produces crisp edges and smooth surfaces with minimal layer lines. It stores reasonably well when kept away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, and the bottle packaging is designed to minimize spills during pouring into the vat. Overall, ELEGOO Standard Resin serves as a reliable workhorse material for anyone getting started in resin printing or looking for a cost-effective option for everyday detailed prints.

Works well but you really need to dial in your exposure settings. Once I did, prints came out clean with minimal supports failing.
Detail resolution is excellent for tabletop minis. My only complaint is that overcured parts can snap easily, so timing matters a lot.
I've tried other brands but keep coming back to this one. Reliable curing, good finish, and reasonably priced for bulk buying.
Performance is great once settings are optimized, but don't skip on proper ventilation and gloves — it's still a standard resin after all.
