Switched from a bare-bones printer to this and the difference is night and day. Auto leveling works great and prints come out clean even at high speeds.
The FlashForge Adventurer 5M is a strong choice for hobbyists and small business users wanting reliable, fast FDM printing without extensive tinkering.
Bench unitThe FlashForge Adventurer 5M is a strong choice for hobbyists and small business users wanting reliable, fast FDM printing without extensive tinkering. Its enclosed design, auto-leveling, and high-speed capabilities make it a well-rounded machine, though those needing larger build volumes or heavy customization may want to look elsewhere.

The FlashForge Adventurer 5M is a fully enclosed FDM desktop printer built for makers and small businesses who want speed without sacrificing print quality. It features a rigid CoreXY motion system paired with a high-flow direct drive extruder, allowing it to reach print speeds up to 600mm/s and accelerations of 20000mm/s², a substantial leap over earlier Adventurer models. The all-metal hotend supports temperatures up to 280°C, making it capable of printing not just standard PLA and PETG but also more demanding engineering filaments like ABS and PA. Its sturdy full-metal frame and enclosed chamber help maintain consistent internal temperatures, reducing warping and improving adhesion on larger or more complex prints.
Ease of use is central to the Adventurer 5M's design. It comes with an automatic bed leveling system that uses a strain gauge sensor to map the print surface with precision, eliminating the guesswork and manual calibration that often frustrate beginners. The flexible PEI-coated spring steel build plate allows finished prints to be removed with a simple flex and pop, protecting delicate details while speeding up the workflow between jobs. A 4.3-inch touchscreen interface provides straightforward control over print settings, filament management, and system diagnostics, while onboard Wi-Fi and companion slicing software, FlashPrint, streamline the process from file preparation to print monitoring, including remote start and status checks through a smartphone app.
Durability and versatility make the Adventurer 5M suitable for a range of applications, from rapid prototyping to functional part production and hobbyist projects. The enclosed design not only assists with thermal stability but also contains fumes and noise, making it more suitable for office or classroom environments compared to open-frame machines. Compatible with a broad range of filament types, including PLA, PETG, ABS, and specialty composites, the printer gives users flexibility to match material properties to their specific project needs. Combined with its high-speed capabilities and automated features, the FlashForge Adventurer 5M positions itself as a practical, reliable workhorse for anyone serious about efficient, high-quality 3D printing.

Really happy with the print quality and enclosure for ABS prints. Only issue is the filament sensor triggers false alarms sometimes, but overall very satisfied.
Print speeds are impressive without much loss in quality. Wish the build plate was a bit bigger, but for the price, it's a solid investment.
I use this for printing small batches of parts and it has been rock solid. The touchscreen interface is intuitive and setup was painless.
