The auto leveling alone saved me hours of tinkering. Print quality at high speeds is impressive for the price point, and the direct extruder handles flexible filaments well.

The ELEGOO Neptune 4 Pro stands out as a refined FDM 3D printer designed for makers who want speed, precision, and reliability without a steep learning curve. Built around a sturdy CoreXY-inspired frame with dual Z-axis lead screws, the printer delivers stable, wobble-free motion even at high velocities. It features the ELEGOO-designed direct drive extruder capable of pushing filament efficiently, paired with a hardened steel nozzle that comfortably handles abrasive materials like carbon fiber and glow-in-the-dark filaments. The all-metal hotend can reach up to 300°C, opening the door to advanced engineering materials such as PETG, ABS, and even nylon blends, making this machine versatile for hobbyists and professionals alike.
Print quality on the Neptune 4 Pro benefits from its high-speed capabilities, with printing speeds reaching up to 500mm/s and typical operating speeds around 250mm/s without sacrificing detail. This is made possible by the intelligent input shaping technology that compensates for resonance and vibration, resulting in cleaner surfaces and sharper corners even during rapid movements. The PEI-coated spring steel build plate heats quickly and ensures effortless part removal once printing finishes, while the auto-leveling system with 16-point mesh compensation removes the guesswork from bed calibration. A responsive 4.3-inch touchscreen interface allows for intuitive control over print settings, filament management, and real-time monitoring of temperatures and progress.
Beyond performance, the ELEGOO Neptune 4 Pro emphasizes user convenience and safety through thoughtful engineering choices. The enclosed mainboard reduces noise during operation, while filament run-out detection and resume-after-power-loss features protect long prints from unexpected interruptions. Its compact footprint with a 225x225x265mm build volume makes it suitable for desktop workspaces without compromising on print size for most hobbyist projects, from miniatures to functional prototypes. Combined with straightforward assembly, a supportive community, and compatibility with popular slicing software like Cresatlab and Cura, this printer represents a strong choice for both newcomers stepping into FDM printing and experienced users seeking a dependable upgrade for their workflow.

Overall very happy with print quality and speed. Had to recalibrate the extruder steps out of the box but after that it's been running smoothly for weeks.
The touchscreen is a bit slow to respond sometimes but the printer itself performs admirably. PEI plate makes part removal so much easier than my previous machine.
I print daily for small business orders and this machine keeps up. The dual Z-axis really does eliminate the layer shifting I used to get on my old single-screw printer.
