The heated chamber makes a huge difference. I've printed large ABS enclosures with zero corner lifting. IDEX mode for dual colors works great once calibrated.

Bench unitThe FlashForge Creator 4 is a robust, semi-industrial FDM printer built for makers and small businesses who need reliable multi-material and high-temperature printing. Its IDEX system, heated enclosure, and all-metal hotend make it a strong choice for engineering-grade filaments, though its price and size mean it's best suited for users ready to invest in a serious workhorse rather than a casual hobbyist machine.
Measured on our bench
The FlashForge Creator 4 is a professional-grade FDM 3D printer designed for engineers, educators, and serious makers who need reliable, high-temperature printing capability in an enclosed, industrial-style chassis. Built around a rigid all-metal frame with a fully enclosed chamber, it supports active chamber heating alongside dual high-temperature hot ends capable of reaching up to 300 degrees Celsius, making it well suited for engineering-grade materials like ABS, ASA, PC, nylon, and carbon-fiber-reinforced filaments that typically warp or delaminate on open-frame machines. The independent dual extrusion system (IDEX) allows the two print heads to move independently, enabling mirror and duplication modes that effectively double throughput for batch production, as well as clean dissolvable support printing when paired with materials like PVA alongside a structural filament.
The build volume on the Creator 4 measures a generous 300 x 250 x 300 mm, giving users ample room for large single-piece prints or multiple parts printed simultaneously across the print bed. The flexible, removable steel build plate with a textured PEI-style coating simplifies part removal and improves first-layer adhesion, while the heated bed and enclosed, air-filtered chamber work together to maintain consistent thermal conditions throughout long prints, reducing warping and layer separation on demanding materials. FlashForge also equipped the machine with an automatic leveling system and filament runout detection, along with power-loss recovery, so that jobs that run for many hours are less likely to fail due to minor disruptions or manual calibration errors.
Connectivity and control on the Creator 4 are handled through a touchscreen interface, along with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and USB options, allowing integration into shared workshop or classroom environments where multiple users may queue print jobs remotely. The machine is compatible with FlashPrint slicing software, which offers tuned profiles for the printer's dual extrusion and high-temperature capabilities, while remaining accessible enough for users transitioning from simpler desktop printers. Its combination of a sturdy enclosed frame, high-temperature dual extrusion, generous build volume, and automation features positions the Creator 4 as a bridge between hobbyist desktop printers and full industrial FDM systems, suited for prototyping, functional part production, and educational settings where durability and material versatility matter as much as print quality.

Print quality is excellent and the build volume is generous, but getting the dual extruders perfectly aligned took some trial and error. Worth it for the results though.
I do functional prototypes and this machine chews through nylon and polycarbonate without issue. The filtration system is a nice touch for indoor use.
We use two of these in our shop for client prototypes. Uptime has been great and the camera monitoring is handy when running overnight jobs.
